Only 20 days until the election. We are going to have daily actions you can take between now and then to get the vote out!
Make a Plan!
Now that you are registered and have your ballot, what now? There are a couple of options. It’s important to make a plan now to assure your vote is counted.
- Mail your ballot: The United States Postal Service has suggested it may take up to 2 weeks for mailed ballots to be delivered to the registrar’s office by election day. That means your ballot should be dropped in the mail not later than OCTOBER 20th.
- Drop your ballot at an official drop box: Fortunately there are 22 official drop box locations where you can drop off your ballot as late as election day (though you should plan of doing it before then). A complete list of official Nevada County drop box locations can be found here: https://www.mynevadacounty.com/3099/Ballot-Drop-Boxes Please be warned that un-official drop boxes have been popping up throughout the state. Please verify with the list at the link above before dropping off your ballot.
- Voting in Person: There are several locations where you can go vote in person. These locations are open 4 days a week from 8am-5pm starting October 31st, and 7am-8pm on November 3rd. A list of those locations can be found here: https://www.mynevadacounty.com/3100/Vote-Center-Locations
No matter how you vote, just please VOTE!!
