By Margie Joehnck, Assembly District 1 Representative
Nevada County was well represented in Oakland at the CDP Executive Board meeting held July 13-15. In addition to me, Heidi Hall, Hilary Hodge, Carson Wright, Peter Minett, and Eric Robbins attended all or part of the meeting.
Highlights included:
- Endorsing Kevin de Leon by 65% for US Senate
- The party looking to hire community organizers for rural areas as well as various demographic groups
- An excellent specialist on rural voter outreach and messaging, Isaac Wright, presentation was extremely well received
- The Voter Service Committee formed a Rural Outreach Subcommittee
- The Eboard arrived at no consensus on Proposition 3 (the Water Bond)
